How is a proposed new house costed?

Costs depend on the agreed scope, design and site conditions. Our building projects generally start from £5,000 upwards; this is not a price for a complete house or a promise that every proposed job can be undertaken. We offer a free site visit and quotation, supported by our quantity surveyor’s cost plan.

How long would a new house project take?

Every project is different. The duration depends on the scope, approvals, site conditions and trade availability. We provide a programme of works for the agreed build and discuss changes if circumstances affect progress.

Do I need to manage the trades myself?

No. Our team coordinate our in-house carpenter and two skilled labourers alongside partner trades. Electrical and gas work is carried out by registered partner trades, with relevant certification provided by them.

Is Swift Build Coventry Ltd insured?

Yes. We hold public and employers’ liability insurance and provide insurance documents with the client’s contract pack. Please refer to those documents for the scope and terms of cover.

Do you provide a workmanship guarantee?

We always come back to put things right. If you have concerns about our workmanship after completion, contact one of the team during our opening hours to discuss them.

Do you offer emergency 24/7 call-outs?

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am–5pm and Saturday 9am–1pm; we are closed on Sundays. For an urgent hazard, contact the relevant utility emergency service or an appropriate emergency contractor.

How do you handle building regulations in Coventry?

We manage the required building control inspections and sign-off for the agreed scope. The requirements depend on the proposed work and are considered alongside the drawings and specification.

Can you complete a project another builder has left unfinished?

Yes. Taking over and fixing projects left by other builders is part of our work. We offer a free site visit to discuss the existing work and what is needed, followed by a cost plan and quotation for the agreed scope.
